Michael B Jordan previews what’s to come on PARENTHOOD and FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!

If there’s one thing I can say for Michael B Jordan (aside from the multitude of positive adjectives I could throw his way after our chat a few weeks back) – he knows how to find good drama.  Just look at the shows he’s had the opportunity to be a part of over the past few years: THE WIRE (Wallace!) and his current gigs – the now-finished filming FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS (sigh, Vince) and the week after week tearjerker (in

Zach Gilford talks OFF THE MAP

As a fan of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, it goes without question that I will follow my favorite Panthers and Lions to wherever else they show up.  In the case of Zach Gilford, the Panthers’ #7, he went ahead and found himself on a sunny island in Hawaii, shooting a show produced by hit-maker Shonda Rhimes.  His new show, OFF THE MAP is back tonight (after premiering to solid demo numbers last week amid a confusing schedule) with an all new

My Take Too: Brandi’s Picks for the Top 10 Most Anticipated TV Events of 2011

The New Year is upon us, and a new year brings new television. Many of our favorite shows will return from hiatus as early as January 3, and the winter TV season also brings some fresh faces to the mix. After a lot of looking back on the year of 2010, it’s time to look forward at what’s ahead for us in 2011. To make it a little easier, I’ve compiled this nifty little list of TV events that have

My Take Too: Danielle breaks down her top 10 shows of 2010

Here’s a continuation of our best of 2010 series with new contributor Danielle’s take on her top 10! Glee: I’m not afraid to admit it. I’m a total gleek. It constantly surprises me with its heartfelt, hilarious and realistic storylines. Who doesn’t remember the amazing Madonna episode or the touching monologues from Kurt’s dad (I’m still reeling from Mike O’Mally’s acting) or Brittany’s odd and quirky quotes.  Oh and I must have watched Gwyneth Paltrow’s episode at least a dozen

My Take Too: Brandi’s Favorite New and Returning Shows of 2010!

Day 3 of our 2010 recollection series has Brandi looking at her favorite New and Returning shows of 2010 – do you agree with her picks? New in 2010 5) Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys (GWLBWLB) Sundance Channel’s recent debut, GWLBWLB, quickly became one of my favorite new shows of 2010. Gaining over 200,000 Facebook fans before it ever aired, GWLBWLB has tapped into the zeitgeist. Focusing on four unconventional New York couples (each comprised of a gay

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS Season 5 Promo

I am not ready to let go just yet.  Thankfully (and cursedly), I don’t have DirecTV so I don’t have to just yet.  But those of you who are watching FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS on DirecTV’s 101 Network starting October 27, start getting your tissues ready! Check out the latest high-gloss-fancy-fancy promo for Season 5, featuring no original cast members aside from the Taylors (don’t worry, and spoiler alert, most of them will be back).  Matt Lauria (Luke), Jurnee Smollett (Jess),

Watch FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS from the beginning!

Anyone who has talked TV with me knows two things – I would follow JJ Abrams off a cliff, I can’t talk during an hour of SONS OF ANARCHY, and to me, there is not better show currently airing, previously airing, ever made, than FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS.  Now, you’ll get your chance!  Starting tonight, and airing weeknights at 6/5c on ABCFamily, you can watch my favorite show, starting with the pilot.  Stock up on tissues, set the DVR, and prepare

Friday Must Watch #1: FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS Season finale

Season 4 of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is about to come to a close (thank god we get a Season 5 next year).  Are you ready for it?  In tonight’s episode, Tami and Eric decide to host a Thanksgiving dinner as the Panthers of West Dillon and the Lions of East Dillon come together to play for the first time. A win for the Panthers means playoffs; a win for the Lions means well-deserved bragging rights. I honestly am completely unspoiled

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is back!!

Sure, I know that season 4 has already been seen by a bunch of people with a DirecTV subscription, but unlike those folks, I have regular old cable, and haven’t had a chance to watch anything from this season.  And for the most part, I’m completely unspoiled, which is incredible considering I follow some huge FNL fans on Twitter! That said, tonight marks the return of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS to the NBC fold, with an 8PM premiere before an all
