Renewal News: CBS welcomes back 18 series for 2012-2013

In a typically CBS-y fashion, CBS sent out a press release announcing the renewal of 15 shows, to add to the already renewed threesome of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, SURVIVOR, and THE BIG BANG THEORY. Viewers can breathe a sigh of relief to know that the following shows have all been renewed, as well: 2 BROKE GIRLS, MIKE & MOLLY (not letting that one go, not with an Emmy Winner/Academy Award Nom), NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, HAWAII FIVE-0, CRIMINAL

Syfy renews HAVEN for Season 3!

Variety was reporting this morning that Syfy had renewed HAVEN for Season 3. Syfy officially confirmed to TVLine that they have placed an order for 13 episodes to air next summer! I’m happy to hear it, because I really enjoyed Season 2 – and the cliffhanger was great! Congratulations Eric Balfour – I think your curse is kind of broken!!

WHITNEY and UP ALL NIGHT score full season orders from NBC; PLAYBOY CLUB not so lucky

File this under: What? and Ok, I guess so? and Yeah that makes sense – NBC has given full season pickups to WHITNEY and UP ALL NIGHT.  The Whitney Cummings sitcom has been a moderate hit.  I can only hope that it meets the same fate that last season’s surprise full season pickup OUTSOURCED got at the end of Season 1.  As for UP ALL NIGHT, I will continue watching, and hoping that it gets better, but even if it’s
