David Lim on the action, heart, and humanity of TV’s S.W.A.T.

First a TV show (1975) and then a movie starring Colin Farrell (2003), CBS’ reboot of S.W.A.T. (premiering tonight at 10/9c) finds inspiration from the past while forging ahead with its own identity.  From Shawn Ryan and Aaron Thomas, with a pilot directed by Justin Lin, S.W.A.T. centers around “a locally born and bred S.W.A.T. sergeant who’s torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he’s tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is

A chat about THIS IS US with teenage Kate, HANNAH ZEILE

THIS IS US, that little show that you may have heard of, is proving Season 1’s breakout success was no fluke. Ratings are consistent or rising every week, fans on social media can’t stop talking about it, and I’m sure the tissue makers of the world are happy to see sales on the rise. Tonight’s all new episode (9/8c) finds Kate facing her first big gig and I spent some time talking with Hannah Zeile, THIS IS US’ teenage Kate,

Chatting about THE EXORCIST with Alex Barima

THE EXORCIST is one of those shows that surprises me – not just because I never know what’s coming, but because I never expected to be such a fan of something I need to watch with all of the lights on, at the brightest part of the day, in order to sleep at night.  The show, airing on FOX Fridays at 9/8c, has taken it on the road in Season 2, with former-Father Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels) and Father Tomas

Get ready for the 4th season premiere of THE FLASH tonight on The CW! I spent some time chatting with the cast of THE FLASH in San Diego for Comic Con. SDCC 2017: A LEGENDS OF TOMORROW medley

When the MyTakeonTV team was down in San Diego for Comic Con over the summer, I had the chance to chat with the great cast of The CW’s DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW about what’s to come in Season 3, which premieres tonight with THE FLASH! We put together a great medley of answers about what to expect for everyone’s characters in the new season – Victor Garber, Dominic Purcell, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Franz Drameh, and Caity Lotz

Quick Take: VALOR on The CW

I applaud The CW for doing what they can to step out of their comfort zone with VALOR, which premieres tonight at 9/8c after SUPERGIRL. VALOR is show about a bad-ass fighter pilot who happens to be a woman (Nora Madani, played with no emotion by Christina Ochoa), who covered up something bad on her most recent mission involving fellow returnee Leland Gallo (CW-casting-director-fave Matt Barr) and their missing colleague.  The show wants to have it all: mystery, danger, clandestine

SDCC 2017: New addition Odette Annable on bringing Reign to SUPERGIRL

I had the chance to chat with the cast of The CW’s SUPERGIRL, which kicks off S3 tonight.  Odette Annable is new to the cast this year as she brings DC Comics’ Reign to SUPERGIRL.  While she couldn’t say much, she did give us some scoop into what is coming for her in the new show and a bit about being a part of the series! Check out the video above for some more scoop and don’t forget to check

SDCC 2017: Jeremy Jordan on what’s up with Winn in SUPERGIRL S3

I had the chance to chat with the cast of The CW’s SUPERGIRL, which kicks off S3 tonight.  Jeremy Jordan talked about being the voice of the fanboy, the proxy for the audience members.  “Winn is the character that has been to a lot of Comic Cons and knows all of the lore.”  He also talked about his arc with Calista Flockhart and how they treat each other back stage.  Tune in for some scoop-y goodness on S3!
