Chatting SWITCHED AT BIRTH with Katie Leclerc

It’s always a pleasure to speak with Katie Leclerc.  Though she describes herself as a “nerd,” she’s truly one of the most humble, sincere people I’ve ever met. Murder Mystery Bash When we spoke via phone recently about Switched at Birth’s Third Season, Leclerc teased a bit about Daphne as well as one of her favorite episodes of the season, “The Scream,” which aired just after we spoke.  In the episode, Kathryn (Lea Thompson) held a “Mafia” murder-mystery bash, with

Mircea Monroe talks HART OF DIXIE and EPISODES

Rarely today does one hear about a Hollywood actress being “discovered” at a drugstore counter or in a shopping mall, but that’s exactly what happened to Mircea Monroe, who has roles in both the CW’s Hart of Dixie (Tansy Truitt) and the Showtime network’s Episodes (Morning Randolph). A Dual Life Monroe has been playing both roles for the past three years but, according to her, they never overlap to the point of confusion.  She told me when we spoke, “I

Sam Huntington talks BEING HUMAN and what else he’s up to!

“I’ve been delighted to portray such a dynamic guy,” Sam Huntington said as we began to talk about Being Human’s Season Four.  He added, “I’d just like him to fully accept that his condition is not the end of the world.  It’s just once a month (that he turns into a werewolf).  He should just build an awesome cage in his basement.  He’s a smart guy.  Why he hasn’t done that already, I don’t know.  It’s a no-brainer.  Just go

The CW renews 3 veteran series and 2 newbies for 2014-2015 season

In news everyone kind of expected, for at least 4 of these shows, The CW has officially picked up ARROW, THE ORIGINALS, REIGN, SUPERNATURAL, and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES for their 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 10th, and 6th seasons, respectively. Worth noting, ARROW ranks as The CW’s most watched series, and TVD is the highest rated in the demos. There is lots of love for REIGN and THE ORIGINALS in my Twitterfeed, and I remain convinced that SUPERNATURAL will never, ever be

Talking to THE GIRL HE MET ONLINE – Yvonne Zima

“Unfortunately, I play the girl he met online,” Zima blurted out when we spoke about the project.  “And, I think she’s probably one of the worst examples ever for young girls.  She puts all her values on her looks and her ability to attract a man.  So, what happens is she’s left with a hollow face, which is a really scary thing to explore.  She’s really literally a void. “She also does a little bit of The Runaway Bride thing

Mary-Margaret Humes talks tough parenting in THE GIRL HE MET ONLINE

Mary-Margaret Humes (Dawson’s Creek) initially turned down the role of Agatha Casey in The Girl He Met Online, saying she’d played the part before.  Then, she read the script. Unexpected Role When I recently spoke with Humes, she told me how she came to accept the role she very nearly abandoned.  “When Peter Davis (Executive Producer/Showrunner) asked me to do the role, I thought, ‘I’ve played so many moms.’  So, I said I’d wait for something else.  Then, they sent

Radiothon Featuring Cast of HAWAII FIVE-0 Continues to Aid the Philippines

You’ve seen the ads.  “CBS Cares.”  On December 15, 2013, the network proved just that when some of its stars were on hand for a radio-thon to aid the Philippines’ typhoon victims by raising money for food, clean water, and supplies. A Need Met Clear Channel Media’s VP and General Manager, Chuck Cotton, organized an outdoor concert at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and called it “Kokua (help) for the Philippines.”  Though many local celebrities were set to perform, on the

HAWAII FIVE-0 is getting the fans involved!

Hawaii Five-0 loves getting its fans involved!  Just last season, fans of the series had the opportunity to vote on one of three endings for Episode 12, Season Three, “Kapu” (Forbidden).  It marked the first time ever that a primetime drama allowed its fans to choose an ending to be broadcast in real time. Upping the Ante This season, producers are upping the ante, allowing fans to choose from a selection of wardrobe, props, titles, and music ideas for an
