Name of the Episode: The Grimm Identity

Beware – the follow contains spoilers!!!

Tonight’s the night Grimmsters have been waiting months for. After the panel at Comic Con, fans were told Juliette would not be coming back from the dead. Executive producers confirmed she would only appear in flashbacks. This is the first main character the writers have killed off, and now we will see effects through Nick’s actions. At the end of last season, Nick found his mother’s head in a box; and later that same night Juliette sought to kill him, but Trubel came to Nick’s defense and shot Juliette with a crossbow.

Agent Chavez and her associates storm Nick’s house and abduct Trubel. Nick is drugged as Trubel is dragged out of the house. In Nick’s drug induced dreams, the episode flashes forward to Juliette’s funeral, with all their family and friends in attendance. Once Nick wakes up a few hours later, he tells Hank, Rosalee and Monroe that Juliette has passed; and all the evidence is gone from the house. (Trubel, Juliette’s body, his mother’s head and the crossbow.) Hank heads into work and informs Sergeant Wu and Captain Renard of everything that has happened over the past few hours. Nick races to the FBI office to see Agent Chavez and demands answers. When she does not cooperate, he is escorted out of the building.

No one seems to believe what Nick is trying to tell them. Renard warns Nick of a suspension or worse if he does not slow down and take some time off. Rosalee and Monroe are confused over the facts and confide in Hank and Wu. Monroe volunteers to go to Chavez’s home to intercept Nick before he does anything foolish. Nick refuses Monroe’s help and continues with his plan. There may be something to Nick’s theory when we are shown Chavez meeting with Adalind’s confidant, Meisner in a dungeon watching a prisoner. The last we saw of him, he was helping Adalind’s daughter escape the royals. Could Diana be the one in the prison cell?

Meanwhile, Adalind beings having contractions and has Bud drive her to the hospital without calling Nick. Across town, Nick fights Chavez in her home and brings her to the Spice Shop. The group questions her and Chavez refuses to give up any information as Nick receives the call about Adalind.

Nick and Rosalee join Adalind in the delivery room; but complications arise as the baby’s heart rate stops and an emergency c-section is ordered. Chavez calls and makes Nick an offer to get the answers he wants, but has to come alone. Everyone is worried it is all a set up, but Nick does not care and goes with Chavez. They show up to an abandoned warehouse where her contacts are dead. Nick and Chavez are ambushed by a group of wesen creatures; a few of them escape, but Chavez suffers a deep abdominal wound. As she bleeds out, she does not give Trubel’s location, but warns of an impending war.
Nick makes it back to the hospital; the baby and Adalind are both safe and recovering. Neither of them knows how to proceed with the situation; but Adalind does not want to raise her baby alone again. As Nick holds his son, Kelly, named for his mom, he sees the love and potential in his hands.

Next Week: The uprising of wesen begins to take place. Claw marks are left around the city to mark their territory and legacy. The clip also teased Trubel stumbling out towards Nick. This is just the start of another great season, stay tuned Grimmsters!
