While the hammer was coming down on a multitude of ABC shows yesterday, the network released teasers for their new shows coming to the 2016-2017 season – have a look.  Based on these <1 minute clips, anything standing out?

CONVICTION – Hayley Atwell stars as a former First Daughter who’s had a bit of a wild-child lifestyle.  She joins the Conviction Integrity Unit in lieu of a jail sentence.

IMAGINARY MARY – Jenna Elfman stars as a woman whose imaginary friend from childhood reappears in her life just when her new relationship with a single father to three kids starts hitting its stride!

NOTORIOUS – A provocative look at the unique, sexy, and dangerous interplay of criminal law and the media

TIME AFTER TIME – HG Wells time traveling to find Jack the Ripper with Freddie Stroma and Josh Bowman?  IN!

DOWNWARD DOG – Comedy about a dog navigating the complexities of 21st century relationships.

STILL STAR-CROSSED – No, not a reboot of the failed CW series.  This is a Shondaland drama about what happens AFTER Romeo & Juliet take their lives, thus theoretically “ending their parents’ strife.”

DESIGNATED SURVIVOR – Kiefer is a lowly Secretary in the cabinet when all other Cabinet members, including POTUS die.  He becomes President, and Maggie Q works with him to find out what really happened.
