The CASTLE finale has us revisiting our favorite TV duos!

This post shares spoilers on last night’s CASTLE, as well as spoilers from about 12 of our favorite series that if you haven’t watched yet, well, get on that….

On last night’s CASTLE finale, the moment we have all been waiting for, or at least all of us shippers have been waiting for, finally happened.  Castle finally told Beckett how he feels, and Beckett finally realized that he’s all she’s thinking about, even in the face of danger at the hands of Tahmoh Penikett.  And then bam, they finally got it on, something fierce!  Andrew Marlowe tells GMMR that he knew this wave inevitable, and it sounds like C and B are in it for the long haul.  Check out last night’s scene, and then follow the jump for a video-torial of some of my favorite “FINALLY” moments on other shows!

ALIAS – Sydney Bristow and Michael Vaughn – In season 2, episode 13, “Phase One”, Syd and Vaughn (and Weiss, oh Greg Grunberg) worked together to bring down SD6.  The result was an epic kiss in the middle of the debris signifying that this show was about to take on a completely different life!

VERONICA MARS – Veronica Mars and Logan Echolls – Logan and Veronica had so many epic moments.  I wanted to embed the epic kiss in the “Weapons of Class Destruction” episode (video here: http://youtu.be/EftQn2p_Bzk), but I went with this moment where Logan finally confessed to Veronica that she broke his heart!

THE WEST WING – Josh Lyman and Donna Moss – Donna and Josh are the classic case of will they / won’t they, and I watched every episode of TWW, hoping that something would finally happen.  When they kissed those few times throughout the series, it was barely enough to hold me over, so thank God they finally did get together for good.  Here’s a little video putting them all together.  LOVE them!

DAWSON’S CREEK – Pacey Witter and Joey Potter – If you had told me when the show started that I would be rooting for the sidekick and the girl across the creek, I would have laughed in your face, but by the time Joey and Pacey yelled at each other on the side of the road, and finally kissed, I was rooting for them to last.  I’m so glad that Joey picked Pacey in the end, and that they survived the Audrey years and bad dye jobs.  They were the best!

BONES – Bones and Booth – Sure, we didn’t really get to see the “FINALLY” moment that maybe we were hoping for, but with Bones uttering the words “I’m pregnant; you’re the father,” the will they or won’t they relationship was taken to a new level, and I love that they don’t have to “hide” it from themselves or each other anymore!

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER – Spike and Buffy – In one that is sure to cause anger among BTVS fans, I became a Spuffy shipper in the later years, and am not ashamed to admit it.  Their kiss at the end of the musical episode was great, and even though the writers massacred their relationship with an ill-planned chip-malfunction, I still loved them together.

GILMORE GIRLS – Lorelai Gilmore and Luke Danes – As much as this show was about Lorelai and Rory, it was about Lorelai and her relationship with Luke.  Their first kiss was perfection, and even if she did stupid things like marrying Christopher, and getting mad about Luke’s secret daughter (shakes fist, while screaming APRIL NARDINI!!!), the fact that they ultimately came together at the end of the series was great.

THE OFFICE – Jim Halpert and Pam Beesley – This show was about so much more than their relationship, but those early years became only about them for me.  I loved the build up to Jim and Pam.  Their courtship, their relationship, their engagement, their wedding.  It’s a shame that they are a boring old married couple now, but god, who remembers this scene?

FRIENDS – Ross Gellar and Rachel Green – I mean, they were each others’ lobsters.  Enough said.

GREEK – Casey Cartwright and Captain John Paul Jones aka Cappie – I loved Casey and Cappie.  Even though they broke up more than they should have, and he actually did have really good chemistry with Rebecca, I still hoped for C&C to live happily ever after.  Sure, he was cheating on Rebecca when they kissed, but it doesn’t change the fact that I rooted for C&C ha!

LOST – Penny Widmore and Desmond Hume – There were a lot of things on this show that ultimately GUTTED me, like in “The Constant” where Penny and Desmond finally talked after all those years.  But god, this reunion?  Buckets and buckets and buckets of tears because I loved them so much.  It was as much a “finally moment” as there’s going to be.  Worth noting?  I could have pulled out a Juliet/Sawyer moment, or a Jin/Sun moment, but for me, it was Penny and Des, all the way!

Who are your favorite duos, or favorite “FINALLY” moments?
