Tonight on Showtime, check out the premiere episode of the latest reality show to try and make a mark – THE REAL L WORD. Produced by Ilene Chaiken (who also produced The L Word) in conjunction with Magical Elves (the same people who created Top Chef, Project Runway and Last Comic Standing), the show follows the lives of 6 lesbians as they work and play in Los Angeles, some who say they were the basis for characters on Ilene’s THE L WORD that we all loved (at least in the beginning).
Showtime’s official release says THE REAL L WORD gives viewers a chance to watch six successful, attractive Los Angeles lesbians as their lives unfold on screen in a way only premium television can offer — uncut and uncensored. Meet Mikey, a tough and prominent fashion producer; Rose, the hard-partying real estate advisor; Tracy, a film and TV development executive; Whitney, the tattooed special effects artist; and Nikki, a talent rep and producer who’s engaged to Jill, a writer.
