What’s On? Monday, 6/14/10

Lots of new summer TV tonight.  What are you watching first?

The 8:00 Hour –

ABC has a two hour episode of THE BACHELORETTE – Ali and the guys start their all over the world trips and dates.  Joshua Radin (one of my personal faves) performs a special concert, Ali takes part in an In Style photoshoot, and the group visits with folks from Broadway’s “The Lion King”.  She sends two guys home tonight.  Over on CBS, catch reruns of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and RULES OF ENGAGEMENT.  On HIMYM, Marshall tries to convince Lily that Amanda Peet’s character has a thing for him.  On ROE, Jeff agrees to couples’ therapy.

FOX has another intense and exciting episode of LIE TO ME. Cal and Gillian look back over events in their lives, including the therapy session at which they met, after a former colleague of Cal’s at the Pentagon is killed in a car bombing right outside The Lightman Group.  Brendon Hines is fantastic in this episode!  NBC has a rerun of the premiere of LAST COMIC STANDING.   On The CW, there’s a repeat of 90210 – it’s the one where Dixon and Sasha headed to Napa for the weekend with Navid’s car.

There’s another all new episode of THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER on ABC Family.  Amy gets into a music program in NYC but she worries that the faraway location will make it impossible to attend.  Jack searches for a new place to call home.  Ashley helps Adrian cope with morning sickness and Ricky confronts Adrian with the rumor that she’s pregnant.

The 9:00 Hour –

On ABC, THE BACHELORETTE continues.  Once again, I ask, where do they find these crazy people every season?  Is there a crazy person reality show store?  CBS has reruns of TWO AND A HALF MEN and THE BIG BANG THEORY.  On 2.5, Alan gets arrested for a bar fight.  On TBBT, Sheldon helps Raj pick up women at a college mixer.

NBC has an all new LAST COMIC STANDING with auditions heading to NYC.  Fox has another all new episode of THE GOOD GUYS.  Dan and Jack uncover a high-class prostitution ring and a grisly murder while investigating a damaged vending machine at an upscale hotel.  The CW has a rerun of GOSSIP GIRL – Chuck hires Serena for her expertise in PR when he’s planning the opening of his new club.

Bravo has the second hour of their REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CITY reunion special.  Apparently, they have over 8 hours of footage for this thing!

The 10:00 Hour –

ABC has an all new episode of TRUE BEAUTY.  The contestants conduct man on the street interviews to show their communication skills and ability to put others at ease.  A conversation in a hot tub gets heated and tempers flare.  CBS has a rerun of CSI: MIAMI.  The team investigates the murder of someone who was chopped in half by a samurai sword.  NBC has an all new PERSONS UNKNOWN. Moira removes the implanted device from her thigh while Joe and McNair try to get a handle on the invisible fence.  Meanwhile, reporter Renbe wants to dig deeper into Janet’s disappearance but isn’t able to get far.

SAVING GRACE is all new on TNT.  The aftermath of a tragic event leaves Grace wracked with guilt.  Meanwhile, the team investigates a beheading and Captain Perry delivers big news. REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY is all new on Bravo.  Danielle decides to live life to the fullest.  Jacqueline hosts poker night and Danielle’s ex spills more gossip.  Dina continues to be exasperated by the drama and makes a game changing decision.  TBS has an all new episode of NEIGHBORS FROM HELL. Balthazor mingles at a golf outing and the Hellman’s try but fail to fit in.

MTV has an all new episode of THE HARD TIMES OF RJ BERGER. RJ runs against his nemesis Max Owens in the school election.  They follow up RJ BERGER with the premiere of their new show, WARREN THE APE.  The show is about a washed up D-list puppet actor, and I’m sure I won’t be watching.

One comment

  • The cancelled Fox show “Grey The Bunny” was great, but the original IFC show that launched Warren The Ape and Greg The Bunny was terrible, same with the follow-up IFC show after the Fox show was cancelled. I don’t have much hope for the new Warren The Ape show. I set it to record one episode on the TiVo, but doubt I will watch more than a couple minutes.
The summer schedule is starting to look like Fall again–lots of new stuff every night. Was hoping for some down time to catch up on other DVDs, etc.
