What’s On? Wednesday, 2/24/10

Not a lot of new TV tonight, but there’s some good stuff on, nonetheless!

The 8:00 Hour –

ABC airs rerun episodes of MODERN FAMILY and THE MIDDLE.  Up first, the anniversary episode of MF where Edward Norton shows up and Elizabeth Banks guest stars as an old friend of Mitchell and Cameron!  On THE MIDDLE, Frankie becomes something of a hero when she stands up to the mean neighbor, played by Brooke Shields.  Over on CBS, catch reruns of THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE and GARY UNMARRIED.  On CHRISTINE, Old Christine finds a suspicious mole and decides she’s dying; on GARY, he submits his demo tape to Sasha in the hopes of being a sportscaster.

FOX has two hours of AMERICAN IDOL – the top 12 guys get their chance to sing this week!  NBC has more of the Olympics – tonight’s events include Freestyle Skiing, Bobsledding, Speedskating, and Alpine Skiing.  I’m starting to get sad that it might soon be over!  Check out a rerun of Monday’s LIFE UNEXPECTED on The CW – Baze becomes Cate and Ryan’s new cohost for a day, while Lux tries to smooth things out between Bug and Jones!

The 9:00 Hour –

On ABC, catch reruns of MODERN FAMILY and THE MIDDLE.  On MODERN FAMILY, it’s the episode where Jay gets a doggy butler, and Gloria hates it, while Claire accuses Luke of downloading smut.  On THE MIDDLE, Frankie promises she’ll try to stop yelling at the kids and it doesn’t necessarily go over well.  Over on CBS, check out a rerun of CRIMINAL MINDS, featuring a murderer who impregnates women and then kills them after they give birth.

FOX has hour two of AMERICAN IDOL.  NBC has more of the Olympics.  The CW airs a rerun of GOSSIP GIRL – it’s the Thanksgiving episode that has Serena dealing with Trip bringing his wife to dinner, and a wide variety of other issues.

The 10:00 Hour –

ABC two reruns of COUGARTOWN.  Up first is the awesome Thanksgiving episode that I absolutely love.  The whole cast is together, and they all meet Travis’ new girlfriend Kylie; second episode has Jules and Bobby sharing a moment when she wallows a bit after her break up with Jeff.  CBS has a rerun of the CSI: NY – it’s the 6th season premiere that has the team recovering from the hail of bullets they took in the finale.  The Olympics continue on NBC.

SHEAR GENIUS has an all new episode that finds the stylists using flowers, and styling bridesmaids for an Indian wedding.  On MTV, you have another episode of THE REAL WORLD: DC – playful fighting turns real, and Josh faces his chronic infidelity.  On FX, an all new NIP/TUCK has Julia visiting Christian and Sean with life-changing news, while she spurns both of their advances.  Meanwhile, Ava is back as Matt is getting ready to get married, and Liz shares the news that she’s pregnant.  TBS also has new two new episodes of MEET THE BROWNS.  Season 2 of BEING ERICA continues on Soapnet. A multitude of secrets causes problems for Erica!

Don’t miss an all new episode of PSYCH on USA – Shawn and Gus join a thinktank to protect a tycoon from assassination plots and when the group disbands, they realize that one of the members was using the meetings to plan the attack on the tycoon!
