LOUIE is back tonight on FX

Are you a fan of Louis CK’s brand of no holds barred, tell it like it is, just plain funny comedy?  If so, don’t forget to tune in to tonight’s season 2 premiere (following the series premiere of WILFRED).  In the premiere, one of his sisters comes for a visit, and in the process, he meets and becomes friends with his new neighbors.  There’s a classic depression feel in every episode of LOUIE that I watch; Louie seems so sad.

My Take On…SUITS on USA

What are you doing tonight after an all new BURN NOTICE?  If I could give you one piece of advice, it’s to be sure that you’re watching or DVRing USA’s all new series premiere SUITS.  What is SUITS, you ask?  Check out USA’s official description: SUITS delves into the fast-paced, high-stakes world of a top Manhattan corporate law firm where hotshot attorney Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) makes a risky move by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams), a brilliant but

DROP DEAD DIVA is back tonight!

When we last left our girl Jane Bingham (formerly Deb or currently Deb or a combo of both), she was kneeling in the street, next to her beloved Grayson, whose eyes fluttered open in time to say “Deb.”  Check out a 2 minute recap to see what you’ve missed. When season 3 opens, Grayson is still in bad shape, and so is Jane, who doesn’t know what to say when Grayson wakes up. Does he know she’s Deb? What if

My Take On….FALLING SKIES on TNT

What would you do if aliens landed on Earth, hellbent on taking over the human race?  Would you lay down and take the punishment, sacrificing everything you know and love?  Or would you join up with some resistance fighters, call yourselves an army, and fight back?  While I’d probably find myself lying in the fetal position, letting the aliens do whatever they want, that’s not the case for the 2nd Massachusetts of FALLING SKIES (two hour premiere at 9/8c on

My Take On…THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING

Stick around after the premiere of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS to catch ABC Family’s latest series – THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING. A smart, pretty, slightly offbeat teen girl who lives alone with her single-mother suddenly discovers her destiny is far greater than she could have ever imagined, in “The Nine Lives of Chloe King,” premiering Tuesday, June 14 at 9:00PM ET/PT on ABC Family. The new one-hour scripted action drama follows Chloe King, who is looking forward to celebrating

Monday Must Watch: MASTERCHEF on FOX

Tonight on FOX, season 2 of my surprise favorite show of the late spring / early summer 2010, MASTERCHEF, premieres at 8/7c. Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and Graham Elliot return as the judges as the premiere tonight starts the audition process. For those of you unfamiliar with the show, here are the details from FOX: Famed chef Gordon Ramsay is back for Round Two of his culinary smash hit and last summer’s highest-rated new series, MASTERCHEF. Along with returning judges

My Take On….ABCFamily’s SWITCHED AT BIRTH

Back in 1991, I was obsessed with, and affected by, the made for TV movie SWITCHED AT BIRTH, starring Bonnie Bedelia that chornicled the true story of Arlena Twigg and Kimberly Mays, babies switched at the hospital and sent to live with the “wrong” parents.  The switch eventually sparked a bitter custody case surrounding Kim, after Arlena died of heart disease.  Every time someone mentions SWITCHED AT BIRTH, I immediately reflect on the movie and start thinking about the families,

THE REAL L WORD Season 2 premieres tonight!

Tonight on Showtime, Season 2 of their reality series THE REAL L WORD premieres at 10PM.  The show, from the Ilene Chaiken (c0-creator of THE L WORD), follows the lives of seven lesbians living their lives in Los Angeles.  The show dropped most of their season 1 cast, except for Whitney (you know her – she’s the wild child special effects designer); Whitney’s ex Romi is now a full fledged cast member, living with her new girlfriend Kelsey.  Also along

Thursday Must Watch: Goodbye Michael on THE OFFICE

Not much else needs to be said, other than, I’m going to miss his absurdity in general, but won’t necessarily miss the 10,000 ways he was written as a character over 7 seasons.  And maybe I never understood why he hated Toby as much as he hated him, or loved Ryan as much as he loved him. Or how he kept his job, regardless of whether he was a good salesman or not. And sure, I’m more than a little

My Take On…HAPPY ENDINGS on ABC

Tonight at 9:30/8:30c (and again at 10/9c), ABC is airing their latest new comedy series HAPPY ENDINGS.  The show stars Elisha Cuthbert (24) and Zachary Knighton (FLASH FORWARD) as Alex and Dave – the engaged couple at the core of a group of 6 friends.  When Alex leaves Dave at the alter (oh hush, it’s not a spoiler; it’s in all the promos), the rest of the group – Penny (SNL’s Casey Wilson), Max (Adam Pally), Jane (Eliza Coupe), and
