Name of the Episode: Scorched Earth

Casey comes into some bad news when he hears Louie might be taken away. Dearing’s threat became real and child services are moving forward. Their reasoning is to avoid any bad press that they gave special treatment. Gabby is devastated and Matt says he will fix the problem. Severide wakes up at Travis’s home after a party disoriented and groggy from the night before. Travis is a PR person, who is paid to party. He invites Severide to travel around the world for a month. Boden announces Jimmy will be transferred to a long-term facility so he can be cared for.

Everyone is called to sewer fire with civilians trapped inside. Seems like homeless kids were down there because the sewers were abandoned for years. Everyone was saved, but Chris, the kid Stella was bonding with, bailed from the scene. Casey calls Susan to help keep Louie in their home; Gabby doesn’t seem happy with it, but goes along with the plan. Stella goes through Chris’s backpack and sees a medication for Hep C. She enlists Antonio’s help to find Chris so he can get the medication he needs. Brett and Dawson are called to a playground where a young boy has collapsed. His brother thinks he had a heart attack. After a brief moment where the boy’s mother thought they were incapable, they brought the boy back.

Susan gets all parties satisfied and Louie will remain home with his family. Gabby apologizes for her resistance to Susan; and Casey thinks about keeping Susan on retainer for future problems. However Casey suspects a conspiracy because of how quickly the situation was resolved. At the firehouse, Antonio rejects Brett’s advances, citing that they’re in different places and it’s better for her. After Travis went out for beers with Severide one night, Molly’s became the spot to be. Travis and Severide have been getting along so well and they have another party together.

Except this time Travis calls for help when a woman collapses from drug use. Severide is able to help the girl, but she needs a hospital. Travis takes the girl to the hospital and tells Severide to get everyone out. At the firehouse, Casey invites Susan over to talk. Turns out, Dearing is one of Susan’s clients, and Casey figures out the connection. Casey hit his limit and demands that Susan get out of his life.

At the end of the episode, Stella is able to find Chris at the YMCA and takes him to the firehouse. Chris is offered a deal from Med and Justice to ensure he gets the care necessary. Brett tells Severide that the girl will be okay; but Travis didn’t exactly help her like he said he would. Severide confronts Travis about his actions; Travis just dropped the girl off in front of the hospital, claiming he was saving her from public humiliation if anyone had a cell phone. The episode does not show if Severide joins Travis on their world trip. Viewers will have to wait until next week to see the result.

On next week’s episode, the firehouse is involved in a toxic spill. Casey and a young girl are trapped and no one knows where they are. Stay tuned for more after takes!
