Cuba Gooding, Jr discusses FIRELIGHT – a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie airing Sunday on ABC

I spent some time this morning chatting with the incredibly charming Cuba Gooding, Jr, about his upcoming role as Dwayne “DJ” Johnson, a counselor at a youth correctional facility. At the facility, incarcerated girls and young women come from troubled – often violent — backgrounds. Many of them belong to gangs and have been involved with illegal drugs – as users and/or dealers. In the words of DJ, “They come in [here] so broken…These are girls who’ve been abused and objectified their whole lives.”  Check out the video from our chat, and be sure to check out the premiere of this all new movie Sunday, April 22, at 9/8c on ABC!
