While we’re all excited that Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Natalie Portman, and Jake Gyllenhaal were nom’d for their work in movies this year, let’s take a look at what we really care about – or rather, what we should care about but find ourselves surprisingly cold towards – the GG noms for TV!  What are your biggest surprises?

For me, definitely Piper Perabo.  Not that I’ve watched COVERT AFFAIRS, but she’s definitely not the caliber of Connie Britton.  Or Evangeline Lilly, if we’re going that far back, because LOST was still eligible!  And for the love of Pete, can the HFPA break up the supporting categories, PLEASE?  I mean, to have David Strathairn against Scott Caan?  Seems terrifically and terribly lopsided….your thoughts?
