History’s TOP SHOT premieres tonight!

The History Channel is throwing their hat in the ring for with their first reality competition show!  Starting tonight at 10, TOP SHOT brings the nation’s best marksman together to compete for who truly is the best – from History:

In Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, Annie Oakley used a mirror to shoot a rifle over her shoulder. William Tell shot an apple off his son’s head with a crossbow. Whether it’s the Romans shooting flaming arrows or Barbarians slinging stones, history is filled with legendary tales of amazing marksmanship. Now, HISTORY is tapping into these inspiring feats of sharp-shooting for it’s first-ever competition series – and one contestant will emerge with a $100,000 prize package and the title of “Top Shot.”

The show surprised me as I watched the first two episodes – I’m not a hunter or a marksman; I’ve never held a gun or a bow and arrow, or a knife that you use to throw at things, so I didn’t think I was the target market for a show like this.  The main draw at the time was host Colby Donaldson, my favorite SURVIVOR competitor, next to BostonRob.  But by the end of episode 2, I was invested in these characters and have my favorites picked, and will be watching week to week, which I can’t say for a lot of other shows.

I don’t want to say any more and indirectly spoil the show because it is really worth checking out – watch a preview clip and let me know your thoughts!
