Have you heard about GOOD MORNING RABBIT?

If you haven’t heard of a pilot called GOOD MORNING RABBIT, now’s a good time to get familiar.  My good friend, Hadley Klein, who most recently was a part of the TERMINATOR: TSCC family, wrote and directed the hilarious (in my humble opinion) pilot episode to what we all hope will become a weekly series in the vein of IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA. From this post on Hadley’s site:

GOOD MORNING RABBIT follows the weekly adventures of two platonic friends, BOXER and MIRA, in their efforts to celebrate every one of our great nation’s real holidays – from the most obscure (National Sorry Charlie Day, Flitch Day) to the more well-known (Groundhog Day, Wednesday). Each episode features a new holiday that leads our endearing heroes down the strangest of rabbit holes – nothing is off-limits in their world.

Platonic friends, Boxer and Mira are the rare male-female dynamic duo supporting and sharing their skewed view of the world. In stories that are off-beat and surreal, our main characters attempt to function within the parameters of the real world, aided by Boxer’s inherited fortune and a larger-than-life set of recurring characters such as their go-to assistant, the flamboyant HOLLAND HIDALGO. In the way that Buffy the Vampire Slayer utilized fantastical and sci-fi elements as an allegory for adolescence, GOOD MORNING RABBIT borrows robots, zombies, vampires, time travel, and other colorful conventions in a metaphor for growing up and discovering your greater purpose with a friend at your side.

The pilot stars some familiar faces that we all know and some we might not recognize yet, but will soon!  The fabulous Alex Frost, from Gus Van Sant’s Elephant, plays Boxer, and Kristina Apgar (Lily from PRIVILEGED) plays the lovely Mira (she produces, too).  Perhaps the most recognizable faces that are involved in the pilot are Summer Glau (SARAH CONNOR, FIREFLY) and Leven Rambin (SARAH CONNOR) playing Lucy (a junkyard sister) and Dumbleshe, respectively.   Also joining in the fun are Carter Jenkins (Aliens in the Attic) as Dumbledoore, Ignacio Serrichio (PRIVILEGED) as Bobby Spray, David Craig as the flamboyant Holland Hidalgo, and Brooke Stone (THE UGLY TRUTH) as The Waitress.  Nicki Cortese also produces.  Follow the jump for some exclusive photos from the set!
