Last year, right about this time, I spent some time on the set of BURN NOTICE and it skyrocketed to the top all my favorite show lists. He gets out of prison with the help from his old friend, who has a job for him: extraditing a thug who’s displacing landownersin a Latin American country. I was going to say Michael because he’s the McGuyver of the millennium but really it’s Vi because she is a bad ass who does that shotgun bullet loading thing with one hand.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Burn Notice is at the top of my must see tv programming. As for a favorite I love them all but Marilyn steals every scene she is in. She just does her thing, smoking drinking, whatever. She doesnt cook and lives life to the fullest.
My favorite is Fi, because she’s a kickass arms-dealing merc. She’s about the coolest female character on tv, (since they cancelled Sarah Connor Chronicles, that is).
I love them all, but I have to say Michael. I’ve loved the actor since Touching Evil, but I love him more in this role. When he uses accents – particularly his Irish accent with Fi? swoon! I always liked the show, but I agree that last season really upped the quality and my love for the show is now bordering on manic! Easily my most anticipated show for the summer, besides maybe SYTYCD (which is a whole other kind of obsession!) 🙂 USA has the best fun series…This and Psych are both world class….I’ve been following your coverage of Royal Pains too, and I’m hoping it is just as engaging…Back to Burn Notice….love the show, initially watched for Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell, but now, it’s just a great show…can’t wait to see how the addition of Moon plays out and how Michael deals with his new situation….love it!
It’s difficult to choose because they all contribute something unique to the team. I guess I’ll go Sam, though. He does a lot of the heavy lifting without any of the glory, & he doesn’t ask for too much in return. The premiere can’t come soon enough.
For me, it’s a tough choice between Michael and Sam. Michael is calm, clever, reliable, courageous, and funny…plus, he’s pretty easy on the eyes. 🙂 But then, there’s Sam. How can you resist such a great friend who is comfortable with his place, and staunchly, fiercely, unyieldingly loyal. And he’s hilarious, bold, goofy, irreverent…and did I mention adorable? The whole cast is great, but my favorite swings between Michael and Sam. It really depends on the episode! (My fave & most memorable bad guy? Ohhhh, Michael Shanks’ character…a delicious psycho!)

I absolutely love the character of Sam! Huge Bruce Campbell fan. My sister told me about this show. Would love to win this so I can catch up on the whole series. Thanks for all your coverage on the show – can’t wait for the premiere!
Of course I love all of the characters, but I definitely like Same the best. I think he is just a great asset to the show, what with his laidback demeanor and quips, yet he never hesitates to help Michael out. He did some outstanding work in the Season 1 Finale, both dramatically and comically.
I’m a Fi girl. I’m old so I remember her in the Three Musketeers! I’m a huge fan of this show. Can’t wait for the premiere!
Sam is the man. At the end of season one, he was willing to sacrifice his own life to save Michael, and was able to communicate to Michael via a pose in a picture. It was, by far, one of the most intelligent and most sneaky things that I have ever seen on any tv show (Including Jeopardy – that’s one smart show). Anyway, any friend like that, even though he is a womanizer and boozer, is an awesome friend in my book. I would watch a show just about him!
I’ve actually only watched a few episodes, but so far Fiona was my favorite!

I hadn’t ever seen the show but I caugt the marathon they were running in the lead up to the premiere. Where has this show been hiding? It’s great! From what I’ve seen my favorite character is Sam. Big fan of the comic relief. I’d love the chance to catch up on some of the earlier episodes but from what I’ve seen and how good the premiere was – I will definately be watching.
As much as I love Sam’s boozing, Fi’s “trigger-happiness” and Madeline’s antagonizing, Michael is definitely my favorite character. At the end of the day, he’s just a guy who has been wronged and let down by the government and goes to great lengths to fight the injustices he sees whether it’s helping “the little people” or going after the people who burned him. How can you not find a guy like that admirable? I guess it helps that he’s a total badass and can cleverly maneuver his way out of any situation.
My favorite member is Michael since he as you put it “knows everything” but he also takes time out of his hunt for who burned him for the little people because he truly cares (even if he wishes he didn’t!). I seriously, seriously adore this show!!!

Sam is definitely my favorite, He always has Michael’s back. I remember in one episode, Michael was going to borrow money from Carla (terrible, stupid idea). Sam stood in front of the door and wouldn’t let Michael through, resulting in a fist fight. Then Sam says “no matter how many times you punch me in the face, i’m not going to let you go”. If that’s not having some one’s back, I don’t know what is.
