Academy Award winners Steven Speilberg* and Diablo Cody** have teamed up to make possible Showtime’s latest, and one of my most anticipated, series THE UNITED STATES OF TARA.

Academy Award nominee*** Toni Collette stars as Tara, a woman struggling with disassociative identity disorder as she tries to raise two children.  John Corbett (swoon) plays her devoted husband Max.

The show is set to premiere on Showtime on January 18, sandwiched between the last season premiere of THE L WORD and the second season premiere of THE SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL.  You don’t have to wait that long to get your first look – Showtime has made available a behind the scenes look at the series!
